Youth Sports
The YMCA offers a wide variety opportunities for kids to participate in sports. All YMCA Youth Sports follow the philosophy that every kid deserves the chance to play and have fun! YMCA Youth Sports are designed to teach specific skills of the sport, introduce the idea of teamwork, teaching sportsmanship, demonstrating positive values, getting parents involved and for everyone to experience the joy of playing!

Youth Volleyball
Open to boys and girls in 3rd - 6th grade. Volleyball at the Y emphasizes teamwork and teaches the fundamentals of the game.

Tackle Football
A safe introduction to the rules, the skills, and the game of tackle football. Games are played. This program is open to 3rd – 6th grade boys and girls. The tackle football league will be held at the Oahe Softball Complex (800 South Buchanan). Tackle football will meet Monday and Thursday evenings. Football begins September 2 and runs through October 25. Coaches or the “Y” will call/email each player with the time of practice.
Early Bird Registration begins May 1st and ends May 31st ($65 Members/$80 Non-Members) .
Regular Registration begins June 1st and ends July 31st ($75 Members/$89 Non-Members).
Late Registration will begin August 1st and ends August 8th ($85 members/$99 Non-Members).

Football Skills Camp (Tuesdays and Thursdays, June 4 to 27)
The Oahe YMCA and GMMS football coach, Matt Mancuso, are offering a Football Skills Camp. This camp will stress the fundamentals of football and improve the players’ fitness levels. Skills and concepts covered during the camp: passing, catching, ball handling, tackling, blocking, special teams, position instruction, and more.
Times: 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM for grades 3 and 4, 10:30 AM to 11:45 AM for grades 5 and 6
Cost: $45.00 members/ $60.00 non-members
Where: Camp will be held at one of the Riggs practice fields.
